The Journal of Applied Ethics in AI seeks partnership opportunities with organizations and individuals that desire to support our mission (with an understanding that monetary support will have no influence over editorial decisions). Please contact us if you would like to explore this option.
What does sponsorship entail?
Sponsors of The Journal of Applied Ethics in Artificial Intelligence are partners in our mission to ensure that the stakeholders who are advancing the proliferation of AI are doing so with awareness of the profound ethical implications at stake. Since sponsorship will advance the mission of the journal, which is thoughtful engagement and dialog, it will in no way ensure that a sponsor’s particular agenda is being advanced or engaged. Sponsors could be organizations, individuals, or businesses, and it would be insincere to pretend that they exist without bias. Nonetheless, it is critical that our work is funded so that the conversation about the ethics of AI is engaged thoroughly at all levels.
Sponsors will help to ensure that:
1) The Journal and its mission is represented in all appropriate academic, technological, media and political forums that hope to address the proliferation and challenges of AI.
2) Phase II of our launch happens with a well credentialed and nominally compensated editorial board, ensuring that our momentum is sustained as in the face of the ever changing landscape in AI.
3) There is a persistent voice for the concerns of those who are impacted by AI, and that these concerns are front and center when important decisions are being made.
How to engage as a sponsor:
The Journal is in its infancy, and it would be premature to set out a formal program of bronze, silver, gold and platinum sponsors, as if these were the only ways that a sponsor could add value. If you support our mission, please reach out by emailing sponsorship[at]journal.appliedethics.ai, and we will setup a time to talk about ways that we might partner in this important work.
